Floods

The impact of the floods and record wet year across our region are still being felt as we head into Christmas. Losses to crops and livestock are still being tallied and the final impact on businesses in the region that rely on the Christmas holiday trade won’t be fully understood until we are in the new year. Not the most uplifting introduction for our final newsletter, however it is the reality many of our businesses are facing this Christmas.

If ever there is a more important time to check in on your neighbour, family members or a friend it is upon us, so please make it part of your Christmas list to ask that important someone if they are ok. The various Government support programs may also assist, so please refer to our recent Blog for more details.

Things to Celebrate

Our first anniversary with our Wangaratta team ticked over at the start of the month. It has been a busy 12 months and hopefully an enjoyable and rewarding time for all involved. We are looking forward to the next 12 months as we continue to become more involved with the Wangaratta and surrounding communities.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to complete our client satisfaction survey. We really appreciate your feedback and suggestions for how we can improve our services to you. Overwhelmingly the feedback was positive, which is pleasing to let our team know that they are doing a fantastic job looking after the needs of our clients.

Six months into the role of Managing Director and I would like to thank those that have reached out to me to wish me well and offer their support and advice. Sharing experiences of similar journeys in their own careers definitely helps and is much appreciated. A special thanks to Marty Mattasoni from Beechworth Bakery who also shares his experience with us (click here).

Enjoy your time with family and friends over the Christmas and New year period and we look forward to working with you again when we return in 2023.

As always, we wish you and your families a happy and relaxing Christmas and New Year period. We hope that you can recharge your batteries, have some fun and most importantly return safely in 2023.
