Senior Accountants

We are inviting applications to fill positions in our Business Services Teams in our Albury and Wangaratta offices.

WHAT YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE
- Work in a diverse team of accountants from undergraduate to Senior levels providing business advisory services
- Mentor Junior staff
- Preparing tax returns, financial statements, activity statements and other related matters
- Tax planning and advisory work
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree qualified
- CA/CPA qualified (or working towards)
- Experience in a similar role

Audit Senior/Supervisor

WHAT YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE
- The planning, preparation, and execution of External Audits
- Preparation and review of financial statements along with the analysis and documentation of internal controls and control environments
- Leading and mentoring more junior audit team members
- Involvement in all aspects of audit and statutory reporting
- Providing advice to client on issues
- Addressing client requests and assistance on a timely basis
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- CA/CPA qualified (or working towards)
- 3 or more years of audit experience
- Caseware software experience desirable
- Strong technical knowledge of the financial reporting frameworks, auditing standards and accounting concepts
- Analytical and problem-solving ability with an attention to detail
- Ability to work well autonomously and also in a team environment
SALARY RANGE
- $78,000 – $99,000 per year

Audit Junior/Intermediate

WHAT YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE
- Working as part of a team in the planning, preparation, and execution of External Audits
- Working on a diverse portfolio of entities consisting of Companies, Public Entities (Councils, Hospitals) and Not-for-profit Entities.
- Preparation and checking of financial statements along with the documentation of internal controls and control environments
- Involvement in all aspects of audit and statutory reporting
- Addressing client requests and assistance on a timely basis
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Completed or almost completed degree in Business/Accounting
- Customer service focus
- Willingness to learn and be part of a team
- Inquisitive and questioning nature
- Ability to build relationships with clients and staff; and
- Attention to detail.

Trainee/Junior Accountants

WHAT YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE
BUSINESS SERVICES – LOCATED IN ALBURY AND WANGARATTA
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for family groups including Trusts, Companies, Partnerships and Individuals
- Preparation of business activity statements (BAS & IAS)
- Working as part of a team where you will work closely with Senior Accountants, assisting with preparing advice for clients
- Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required
SMSF – LOCATED IN ALBURY
- Preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for Superannuation Funds
- Preparation of Superannuation Fund Business Activity Statements
- Liaising with internal financial advisors and external auditors
- Involvement in SMSF Audits
AUDIT – LOCATED IN ALBURY
- Working as part of a team in the planning, preparation, and execution of External Audits
- Working on a diverse portfolio of entities consisting of Companies, Public Entities (Councils, Hospitals) and Not-for-profit Entities.
