Michael Darmody
Business Services
Michael grew up on a sheep and cattle farm in Leneva, which his parents continue to operate to this day.
Michael started at Johnsons MME in January 2004 after completing his schooling in Wodonga. Subsequent qualifications include a Bachelor of Business (Accounting/Business Management) from Charles Sturt University, as well as being a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Michael works in the area of business and taxation services, providing ongoing assistance to a range of clients from various industries, including farming operations, transport businesses, investment clients, builders and contractors to name a few.
Michael has a strong involvement with the sport of hockey in the area, previously holding the position of Director of Finance on the Hockey Albury Wodonga association board, as well as being President, Treasurer, and a general committee member from time to time with his local club, the Wodonga Hockey Club.
In addition to hockey, Michael is a follower of most sports, including being a keen horse racing enthusiast.
Jane Bowran
Business Services
Jane grew up in Allans Flat on a beef cattle farm. She completed her Bachelor of Business/Accounting degree at Charles Sturt University in 2003 and Graduate Diploma of Charted Accounting in 2015. She is also a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand. Jane commenced working at Johnsons MME in April 2016.
Jane is a Manager in business and taxation services and assists a wide range of clients particularly those in construction and primary production.
In her spare time Jane enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Kristian Hedin
Business & Taxation Services
Originally from Mansfield, Kristian completed his Bachelor of Business at RMIT in 1986. Initially working for Insolvency firm Neville Bird Clarke & Co before moving to KPMG working in Business Services focusing on tax and small business, and becoming a Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1993.
In 1995 he joined Chisholm Partners (formerly Heslop & McLeish) Chartered Accountants in Wangaratta as Manager, then progressing to partner in 1999 and continuing in this role until 2021. Kristian has serviced a wide range of clients, including primary production, construction, medical practitioners.
Married to Jackie, a father of 5 and grandfather of 2, he is looking forward to spending more time in the outdoors with family.
After serving as president, treasurer, board member, league delegate, coach, umpire, water boy and everything in between Kristian was made a Life Member of Wangaratta & District Junior Football League in 2011.
Anastasia Saric
Superannuation
Originally from Myrtleford, Anastasia commenced employment with Johnsons MME in October 2007 as a Senior Accountant. She completed her Bachelor of Business (Accounting/Marketing) in 2005 and was admitted to the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants (now Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand) in 2008.
Anastasia has over 20 years of experience in business and taxation services, and has specialised in Self-Managed Superannuation Funds since 2012 and was recognised as an SMSF Specialist Member of Chartered Accountants ANZ in 2017.
Ryan Giles
Business and Taxation Services
Ryan joined Johnsons MME in September 2006 and has since gone on to work closely with a range of clients from various industries such as primary production, construction, retail and transportation.
Ryan predominantly works in business and taxation services and became a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in 2015.
Cameron Adams

Cameron joined Johnsons MME as an assistant accountant in July 2015 after working in hospitality through University. Cameron completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) at Charles Sturt University Albury/Wodonga and has completed his Chartered Accountants course.
Cameron primarily works in business and taxation services working with a wide range of clients, particularly from the primary production, construction & transport industries.
Cameron has grown up in Albury and enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf at the Albury Golf Club.
Elise Stewart

Elise is a hard-working, dedicated accounting specialist who has established a sound reputation for being a proficient advisor since beginning her career in 2011.
She joined Johnsons MME in July 2023 after returning to her home town Albury, after six and a half years in Sydney. Elise’s current focus at Johnsons MME is the Wangaratta team. This involves managing tax compliance & reporting issues for a diverse range of businesses, including primary production businesses – along with assisting all team members, from client services, junior accountants to managers with their day to day needs.
Four of these ‘Sydney’ years Elise spent with Accru Felsers, which is a part of an award-winning network of accounting firms in Australia and well-known in the international business space.
Elise’s focus during this time was managing tax compliance & reporting issues for a diverse and interesting range of businesses – from multinationals to local family groups, along with completing complex tax advice, tax due diligence pieces and assisting with an IPO.
Elise is a perceptive and logical thinker who likes to keep ahead of relevant financial issues and translate complex accounting issues into real world advice. Elise finds it rewarding to help her clients achieve their business and financial goals.
In her spare time, Elise works with a remarkable group of committee members on the Albury Wodonga Regional Chartered Accountants Committee, which encourages Chartered Accountants to remain connected to the CA profession throughout their careers, and offers a place for feedback, professional training and networking events, within the accounting industry.
In May 2022 Elise completed her Master of Taxation at UNSW, which has further enhanced her knowledge and ability to problem solve and assist clients with a varied range of tax issues that arise through doing business in Australia and beyond.
Elise’s specialties are Accounting, Tax, Foreign taxation issues, Business Management, and Wealth Creation.
Annie Tonta
Finance Strategy and Performance
Originally from Deniliquin, Annie moved to Albury in January 2019 to start a career at Johnsons MME. Annie has completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) at Charles Sturt University Albury/Wodonga.
Annie works in business and taxation services working with a range of clients including non-for-profit organisations, licensed clubs, community service providers and restaurants. Annie’s main focus area is in finance strategy and performance by being involved as an internal finance function, high level reporting and mentoring clients in accounting processes and the use of accounting software.
Outside of work, Annie enjoys spending time with her family in both Albury and Deniliquin.
Will Shannon
Business and Taxation Services
Will moved to the region in 2008 originally from Hay. He started with Johnsons MME in 2017 after completing school in Wodonga. Will has completed a Bachelor of Accounting (Finance) at Charles Sturt University Albury/Wodonga.
Will works in business and taxation services helping a range of clients with both compliance and daily business management services.
Will is involved with our social club committee and enjoys playing football at his local club Yackandandah on the weekends.

Alison Copland
Business Services
Alison commenced work with the former firm Coopers & Lybrand in 1995 after completing a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) at Charles Sturt University in Albury. She was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1998.
Alison works in the area of business and taxation services as an Assistant Manager using her skills to help and guide a wide range of clients particularly within the local primary production industry. She is originally from Khancoban.
Joy Lee
Business Services
Joy was born in Albury and grew up on a farm in Brocklesby. She attended Albury High School and after completing her higher school certificate, she commenced a traineeship with Coopers & Lybrand in Albury. She spent her first two years working full-time and studying part-time at Riverina College of Advanced Education (now Charles Sturt University). She then moved to Wagga to complete her degree full-time and thereafter returned to Albury to take up a position at Coopers & Lybrand.
Joy is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Taxation Institute. She is an Assistant Manager working in business and taxation services for a wide range of clients. She also assists in providing valuation services and fringe benefits tax advice.
Outside of work, Joy plays tennis and tries to get to the gym. She also loves to travel.
Liz Hoffman
Business Services
Liz was born in Melbourne but moved to Albury with her parents as a child. Liz attended primary and secondary school in North Albury before embarking upon a Traineeship with Coopers & Lybrand in Albury in 1987. The following year, Liz started her Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) at the Charles Sturt University Albury campus; a qualification she completed in 1991.
Melbourne beckoned Liz and she departed Coopers & Lybrand to work for a boutique accounting firm in South Yarra for two years. She returned to the fold in August 1994 and has completed over twenty years of service.
Liz’s current role as Assistant Manager has her working in the area of Business and Taxation Services for a variety of clients. Outside of work, Liz keeps busy playing tennis, indulging in travel and supporting her favourite AFL team, Geelong.
Pauline Goonan
Business Services
Originally from Deniliquin, Pauline commenced a traineeship with the former firm Coopers & Lybrand in 1997. She completed her Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Charles Sturt University and was admitted to the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2006.
Pauline works in the area of business and taxation services as an Assistant Manager. She has recently returned to Johnsons MME after an extended maternity leave break.
Outside of work Pauline enjoys spending time with her family including her husband, Paul and their 4 active boys.
Tonia Kerr
Business and Taxation Services
Tonia works in the area of Business and Taxation services as an Assistant Manager. Originally from Oaklands, she is particularly interested in the area of primary production. She completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) at Charles Sturt University in 2006.
In her spare time Tonia enjoys getting outdoors, staying fit and spending time with her family.
Tracy Griffiths

Tracy started at Chisholm Partners in July 1992 after completing her schooling in Wangaratta. She completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) in 2001 from Charles Sturt University Albury, and became a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2004.
Tracy works in the area of business and taxation services, using her skills to assist and guide a wide range of clients particularly those in the transport, construction, engineering and primary production industries.
Tracy joined Johnsons MME in 2021 as part of the Chisholm Partners merger.
Nick Sheridan
Business and Taxation Services
Nick joined Johnsons MME in April 2013 after graduating from Charles Sturt University in Albury/Wodonga with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), and in 2022 became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand.
Nick predominantly works in Audit and Assurance and has experience in supervising and managing audit engagements in various industries, including local government, health, manufacturing, construction, aged care schools, registered licensed clubs and not for profit organisations.
Outside of work Nick enjoys spending time with his young family, and is actively involved in sporting clubs including the Lavington Panthers Football Club and Albury Cricket Club.
Jason O’Connor

Jason joined Johnsons MME as an accountant in April 2019 after four years with the Australian Taxation Office.
He has completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) through UNSW, and in 2020 completed his Master of Professional Accounting through Swinburne University of Technology.
In his time at Johnsons MME, Jason has worked with a range of clients, including not-for-profits, mining services, freight, and agriculture.
His passions include spreadsheets, Liverpool FC, red wine and death metal.
Charlotta (Lottie) Blomqvist
Self-Managed Superannuation Funds
Lottie was born and raised in Finland but calls herself an Albury local since 2011.
Lottie completed a Bachelor of Arts in 2010 in Finland and went on to study accounting after arriving in Australia. She graduated with an Associate Degree of Business Studies with distinction from Charles Sturt University in 2017.
Lottie joined Johnsons MME in 2014 as an assistant accountant, and specialises in Self-Managed Superannuation Funds.
Tash Johnson

Originating from Cootamundra, Tash has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Swinburne University of Technology and works in business and taxation.
Tash works with clients from a range of industries and is particularly passionate about supporting small and medium businesses and their owners to achieve their personal and professional goals by exploring growth and sustainability strategies. In addition to her work with clients, she is also enthusiastic about corporate culture, driving high-performing teams and fostering a positive work environment.
Outside of work, Tash enjoys being active in the local sporting community, including coaching and playing at the Corowa Cougars Rugby League Club and participating in social sports including Albury touch football, netball, and volleyball.

John is a financial adviser and assistant manager of Johnsons MME Financial Advisory. He has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning in 2020, a Bachelor of Business (Marketing/Finance) in 2016 through Charles Sturt University and is registered with ASIC as a Qualified Tax Relevant Provider.
John has been working in financial planning since 2010, began his career at Johnsons MME Financial Advisory in 2018 and completed his provisional financial adviser period 30 June 2021.
John provides personalised advice in relation to investments and strategy, wealth accumulation retirement planning, direct shares, superannuation, and Centrelink.
Rebecca Cameron

Rebecca is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with the Financial Advice Association of Australia (FAAA), an accredited Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Specialist with The Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Association (SMSFA) and is registered with ASIC as a Qualified Tax Relevant Provider.
Rebecca has completed a Bachelor of Business with Victoria University of Technology, an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has been working in the industry since 1999.
Rebecca provides personalised advice in relation to retirement planning, wealth accumulation, superannuation, estate planning, personal insurance, and Centrelink.

Born in Canberra, Steven (Gus)commenced work with our antecedent firm, Coopers & Lybrand, in February 1989. He became a manager at Johnsons MME in 2004. Steven was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia in 1998. He worked in the area of business and taxation services, using his skills in these areas to assist and guide a variety of clients.
Gus lost his battle against cancer in April 2018.
