Rod Mullavey

Today we advise of the retirement of Rod Mullavey, one of the esteemed founding partners of Johnsons MME. He retired effective 1 July 2023.

After an illustrious career spanning decades of dedication and expertise, Rod embarks on a new chapter of his life and steps into retirement. We would like to take this opportunity to celebrate his outstanding contributions with you.

Rod played an instrumental role in the establishment and growth of Johnsons MME, leaving an indelible mark on our firm’s history. His unwavering commitment to professionalism, exceptional client service, and fostering a positive work environment has been truly commendable.

During his tenure, Rod has successfully guided our firm through pivotal milestones, including the de-merger in 2000 from PWC, allowing us to pursue the vision of our local Directors. This resulted in our current name of Johnsons MME, which honours founding partner Fred Johnson, with the initials MME representing the partners in 2000: Rod Mullavey, Hugh McKenzie-McHarg and Gary Essex.

Rod’s leadership and strategic vision have helped shape Johnsons MME into the reputable organisation it is today.

Rod’s expertise and deep understanding of the accounting industry have not only influenced our firm but have also made a significant impact on the lives of our valued clients. His dedication to providing tailored solutions, invaluable guidance, and personal attention has garnered trust and long-standing relationships with our clients.

For our staff, Rod Mullavey has been an exceptional mentor and role model, nurturing talent and inspiring individuals to achieve their full potential. His commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive work culture has been instrumental in shaping the success of our team. We are grateful for his guidance and leadership throughout the years.

As Rod steps into retirement, we extend our sincerest gratitude for his remarkable contributions to Johnsons MME and the industry as a whole. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide us as we move forward.

On behalf of the entire Johnsons MME family, we extend our warmest wishes to Rod for a fulfilling and joyful retirement.
